Brookeland ISD partners with Angelina College to provide our dual-credit programs for incoming Junior and Senior students. Angelina College and Brookeland ISD offers several classes on campus and also has three professors on campus, Mrs. HilderbrandMrs. Inman, and Mrs. Ward. If you are interested in the dual-credit programs please see Mr. Gillis for more information.

Students taking dual credit courses earn college credit while simultaneously earning high school credit for the same course. The credits transfer to public colleges in Texas and some private/out-of-state institutions.

We have partnered with Angelina College to provide dual credit courses.  We currently have three instructors on our campus who teach dual credit courses.   Other courses may be provided through online or distance learning.

Why take Dual Credit courses?

Students can save money by completing many of their “core” college courses while still in high school. Students who take dual credit classes are also better prepared for the challenge of college.

The staff of Brookeland ISD believes that ALL students can learn.  We believe that our school’s purpose is to educate all students to high levels of academic performance while fostering positive growth in social/emotional behaviors and attitudes.  We accept the responsibility to teach all students in a challenging, meaningful way that allows each child to become a literate, contributing adult.  Brookeland ISD is a center for sound learning, academic discovery, and the pursuit of wisdom through advanced course offerings, high academic standards and aggressive, innovative instruction.  The students of Brookeland ISD will excel and compete academically with any students in the country.
